“Hawkers and The Health Law” booklet

This 1980s booklet marked the government’s efforts at promoting public hygiene to hawkers, especially when infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy and cholera affected the society in the 1970s. The comic illustrations on this booklet conveyed the message that the cleanliness of a food stall was key to attracting patrons.
